MEET DR. ASAF YALIF
A founding member of Y Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Asaf Yalif is currently the only surgeon in the greater Atlanta area who is Triple Board Certified in Hand Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Orthopedics. This unique combination of skills enables him to take comprehensive approach to soft tissue, joint, and bone injuries and diseases of the hand and upper extremity, while also offering face, breast, and body reconstructive surgery and general cosmetic surgery. He offers a premier level of care to all of his patients, coupled with a dedicated focus on a patient-friendly, holistic approach to diagnosing and treating a wide range of diseases and injuries. He prides himself on working directly with his patients throughout their entire treatment, to ensure that each patient gets the quality of care, respect, and attention they deserve. Dr. Yalif earned his bachelors and medical degrees simultaneously in one of the few programs of its kind in the country. After graduating with honors, he completed his General Surgery Residency in New York City, serving also as Chief Resident and earning numerous awards for academic achievement and clinical excellence. He then continued his training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the State University of New York in Buffalo, where he continued to perform and publish clinical research in this complex field. Dr. Yalif also completed additional training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, again serving as Chief Resident.
Since establishing himself in private practice in the greater Atlanta area, Dr. Yalif continues to stay abreast of the most recent technological, surgical, and medical developments across all of his fields of specialization, and has become a nationally-recognized leader in constant demand as a special guest lecturer across the country. He has continued to take on leadership roles in the greater Atlanta community and at the many hospitals where he holds operating privileges, for example, having served as the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at North Fulton Regional Hospital and as well as serving as the Chairman. He remains committed to a personalized, holistic approach to every patient’s treatment, ensuring that he is personally available and accessible to all his patients throughout their entire treatment process and developing customized treatment plans that take into account each patient’s medical concerns, treatment goals, and personal medical and lifestyle history.
